Q & A WITH MELANIE
Q: How did you first get into the arts?
A: I've always loved making things. At four, my preschool teacher called my mother to tell her that I drew people with five fingers and a lot more detail than most 8 year olds. I also created engravings in my father's oak desk, but that's another story.
Q: What sparks your creativity?
A: Everything: nature, people, philosophy, great art and design, architecture, dance, fashion, puppetry, etc.
Q: How do you keep up the creativity?
A: I try to keep a supply of endorphins flowing through my veins by getting exercise everyday. This helps me keep a positive outlook and allows me to think clearly.
Q: What do you do in your spare time?
A: Music! I also love reading, traveling, hiking, biking, watching movies, experimenting with food and learning new things.
